When Eva and Bandi met, they were both approaching their 90s. They began their new life together, but there was something they could not leave behind: the Holocaust. At the age of 18, Éva was deported with her family to Auschwitz-Birkenau, from where she was the only one to return. Bandi also lost his entire family during the Nazi occupation. We follow their extraordinary symbiotic relationship. When Eva receives a virtual reality film role, she has to decide if she is willing to relive her biggest trauma, her deportation to Auschwitz-Birkenau, for the film role. Bandi is not enthusiastic about the idea — he fears for Éva deeply — yet he supports the woman he loves. Together, Éva and Bandi confront their past. The costume designer tailors the yellow star to her coat again. She steps into the wagon again. After Eva courageously reenacts her own deportation for the VR film project, Bandi has to face life alone after her final farewell. What's next?
