The film is built around an imagined therapy session. That frame holds together the songs of bongor's concept album Extázis, and through it his story unfolds: childhood, a complicated relationship with his parents, the temptations that come with success, the low points of alcoholism, and the road towards sobriety. Csongor Berta — bongor — plays the lead, which is to say he plays himself.

That is the film's founding idea and its strangest feature. Berta is an actor by training, and here he performs the worst years of his own life, from material he had already made public a year earlier. The 2025 album Extázis was one of the biggest Hungarian musical events of the year: a platinum record, then a Fonogram award in the Hungarian rap/hip-hop category. The songs speak plainly and self-critically about addiction, the difficulty of recovery, family inheritance and the uncertainty that comes with becoming a parent. The album was made as a form of self-therapy; the film carries that on.

The form is unusual in Hungary. Every song on the record gets its own visual world, yet the parts add up to a single continuous story. The film uses both documentary and fictional means: alongside personal testimony and staged scenes there are music-video-like sequences. The "uncut" in the title refers to exactly that — the film doesn't tidy the material up.

Alongside bongor, Gabriella Hámori plays the therapist, Éva Kerekes the mother and István Znamenák the father. Several people appear as themselves, among them the toxicologist Gábor Zacher — whose presence is not incidental: the film treats addiction not only as experience but as a clinical question.

Gergely Ipacs and Ákos K. Kovács directed and produced, with Superfactory, TelekomFilm and CineSuper involved in the production. It opens in Hungarian cinemas on 8 October.
